Echoes of knowledge – a poetic look at what knowledge management (KM) involves [Arts & culture in KM part 15]

This article is part 15 of a series exploring arts and culture in knowledge management.

When the question “what is knowledge management (KM)?” is asked, KM practitioners will often give dry technical responses that disengage rather than engage the audience.

In the video above, I show what is possible when we take a different approach – using arts and culture, in this case poetry, to tell a story.

I first presented this video at the Agenda Knowledge for Development write shop in May 2024.

Mabel is a Certified knowledge Manager for sustainable development with vast experience in community development and knowledge creation. She currently works as the Knowledge Management Programme Assistant at the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) where she is involved in curating, documenting and disseminating knowledge on issues relating to the civil society sector.
