Congratulations to Gladys Kemboi on being awarded the Most Influential Knowledge Management Ambassador in Kenya!

A big congratulations to Gladys Kemboi, who we’re very excited to hear has been awarded the Most Influential Knowledge Management Ambassador in Kenya by her university, the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). The photographs above and below show her receiving the award.

It’s not at all surprising that Gladys has received this award as we’ve been able to witness her passionate work as a fantastic advocate for knowledge management (KM). We’re most grateful for the outstanding support that Gladys gives to RealKM Magazine as part of this.

It’s also great to see such recognition for a KM champion from the Global South – it’s a positive sign that we’re making progress on the path towards the decolonisation of knowledge and KM.

As well as receiving the award, Gladys will be graduating from JKUAT this week with an MSc Information and Knowledge Management.

Gladys is also a member of the Core Group of the KM4Dev community, and is in the process of developing a KM4Dev chapter in Kenya and beyond.

Acknowledgements: With thanks to KM4Dev (and if you’re not a KM4Dev member, you’re missing out on highly valuable KM learning and networking opportunities – we encourage you to sign up to the KM4Dev website and KM4Dev discussion group).
