Scholarly and information institutions encouraged to sign up to open access 2020

This week is Open Access Week, where the spotlight is focused on “open access” to information.

Through free, immediate, online access to the results of scholarly research, with the right to use and re-use those results as you need, we have the power to transform the way research and scientific inquiry are conducted. This has direct and widespread benefits for academia, medicine, science, industry, and society as a whole.

We’ve previously looked at the growing trend towards open access, but a large amount of research is still locked away journal paywalls, including important knowledge management research.

Sign up to OA2020

The open access 2020 (OA2020) initiative has been established to accelerate the transition of scholarly journals to open access.

You are encouraged to join the growing list of scholarly and information institutions that have signed up in support of OA2020. These institutions include universities, libraries, and research centres.

Your institution can show interest in signing up by completing and submitting the expression of interest form.
