CEOs are often the last to know

David Heinemeier Hansson explores the gap between the Amazon depicted in a New York Times exposé on its culture and the perceptions of CEO Jeff Bezos. Hansson alerts that subordinate managers won’t want to bring their issues to the CEO, even if invitations of open doors are extended. He advises that “The only reliable way to get this sort of information is to ask”.
