Like many of my Columbia University MS in Information & Knowledge Strategy (IKNS) community, and knowledge management (KM) colleagues and friends, I am saddened by the news of Larry Prusak’s passing.

Larry was the consummate story teller, historian, man-of-adventure, and knowledge management icon. Every opportunity I had to sit at his feet (figuratively) and take in his acquired wisdom was required action. I was blessed to have met him, learned from him, converse and correspond with him, and he was kind enough to consider me a friend.

My Columbia IKNS 21 cohort benefited from his charm, wisdom, and practical advice. He was a treasured part of our collective journey. He was one of the first people we met at Columbia as our IKNS degree quest began, and we – individually and collectively, are richer for the experience.

You, sir, will be truly missed.

Leads KM teams and advises/supports subordinate organization KM leaders. Master’s Degree in Information and Knowledge Strategy from Columbia University and Certified Knowledge Manager (KM Institute). Over ten years in KM Field.
