The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), MPRF has received ISO 30401: 2018 certification for Knowledge Management Systems requirements; it helps to improve systems management processes in the Foundation and helps it achieve its objectives and strategic goals.

The ISO certification followed a concerted internal effort by the Foundation's team to meet each of the requirements of the standard. MBRF introduced Knowledge Management Strategy 2019-2021, which includes several initiatives based on complete stakeholder analysis, which enabled them to identify their needs and expectations and develop a knowledge management policy.

The strategy involves identifying key areas of knowledge of the Foundation, assigning staff officers to each level of 'knowledge base', determining the knowledge and skills the staff possess, and developing an action plan for documenting, transferring, developing and sharing skills.

The Foundation believes that employees are the foundation for any improvement and development, with that in mind, the "Knowledge Cafe" was implemented in two successive editions to train employees and engage them in implementing the requirements of the new ISO certification, while at the same time honoring their skills.

The ISO 30401: 2018 certification requirements for the International Standard Organization (ISO) Knowledge Management Systems were released in November 2018. Any company, regardless of its size, the nature of its work and the products and services it offers, can be certified if it meets the requirements and conditions. Several workshops on the topic were held throughout 2018.
