Decolonising knowledge and KM
There has been a profound Global North bias in the global research knowledge base, including in regard to knowledge management (KM), with most research having been produced in Europe and North America. KM practice also has its foundations firmly in the Global North, in particular Europe and North America. This has prompted advocacy for the decolonization of knowledge and KM. While some progress being made in the decolonization of knowledge, the widespread belief that KM concepts and approaches developed in the Global North are globally universal unfortunately continues to persist.
