Modou F. Sall

Modou Fall Sall worked as Information Services Officer at the IDRC, Ottawa, from June 2019 to May 2026. In addition to professional activities, he is a dedicated librarian, involved in advocating for equitable access to information and knowledge. He has participated in many initiatives and also undertaken various projects, including the implementation and management of diverse projects aimed at facilitating information and knowledge access, in the agricultural and health sectors. He was member of an IFLA experts group who met in November 2003 at Switzerland, to review/finalize the declaration of principles and the action plan drafts of the upcoming world summit on the information society (WSIS), as well as to meet and discuss with ambassadors representing their countries at the United-Nations Office at Geneva, to advocate about the key role libraries must have in the information society. He holds a Master in Library and Information Studies from the University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar (Senegal) and a Master in Project Management at the University of Quebec in Outaouais (Canada).
