New 4th Edition of the Agenda Knowledge for Development finalized and published
We are so happy to announce that the 4th Edition of the Agenda Knowledge for Development has been finalized and is now published. We thank all the 180 (!) authors of statements, we welcome the 53 new authors and appreciate the reviews of many previous authors, updating their statements in the current context.
We have included new topics, like aspects of generative AI, we have deepened topics like multiple knowledges, misuse of knowledge, decolonization of knowledge among others, and we have added a new Knowledge Development Goal 15: Knowledge of Nature. The contributions are meaningful, colourful, expressive, deep, and also very personal. Each an every statement is enriching and we can read them even many times, always finding something new and inspiring in them.
We invite YOU to read, reflect, digest, apply, agree, disagree, connect, comment, engage, laugh, share, copy, paste, capture, disseminate, or do whatever you may like. It´s now yours. Feel free.
Should you not yet have contributed a statement, you are most welcome to do so anytime. New statements will be uploaded to the website www.k4dp.org immediately and be then included in the next edition of the Agenda K4D. So, the discourse never stops.
The Agenda K4D is more than an agenda. It is a powerful expression of a vital community passionately advancing sustainable knowledge societies. We are a diverse group and we respect each other´s opinion, we provide each other equal opportunities and foster an inclusive discourse as well as inclusive knowledge societies. We believe in the transformational power of knowledge, and we stand up against ignorance and misuse of knowledge. We will continue the dialogue, we will reinforce actions to implement our ideas, and we will explore new ways of collaboration and outreach. The challenges will make us stronger – together!
Andreas Brandner and Sarah Cummings,
Editors of the Agenda Knowledge for Development.
