5. PKM
PKM is a set of processes, individually constructed, to help each of us
make sense of our world, work more effectively, and contribute to society.
◎ Personal – according to one’s abilities, interests & motivation.(not
directed by external forces)
◎ Knowledge – understanding information and experience in order to
act upon it.(know what, know who, know how)
◎ Mastery – the journey from apprentice to disciplined sense-maker
and sharer of knowledge. (masters do not need to be managed)

6. “In T.S. Eliot's 1915 poem Choruses
from "The Rock", he said:
Where is the Life we have lost in living?
Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge?
Where is the knowledge we have lost in information?
Where is the information we have lost in data?
Answers are terminus ; it’s the questions that are
where it’s at” – Morgan Freeman

Community discussion
Community of
Interest
"a community of interest is a gathering of people assembled around a topic of common interest. Its members take part in the community to exchange information, to obtain answers to personal questions or problems, to improve their understanding of a subject, to share common passions or to play”
Practice
A CoP, in contrast, is a group of people who are active practitioners.
CoP participation is not appropriate for non-practitioners.
The purpose of a CoP, as discussed above, is to provide a way for practitioners to share tips and best practices, ask questions of their colleagues, and provide support for each other.
Membership is dependent on expertise - one should have at least some recent experience performing in the role or subject area of the CoP.
Action
CoAs possess some of the characteristics of communities, such as the development of a common language and mutual learning in the course of action. However, they also possess some of the characteristics typical of more associative social relationships, such as the “voluntary” nature of association and the importance of “common goals” in directing collective activity.
The key critical enabler is search.. and the key factors to enable search are mindfulness during the process of sharing.
What are the things we need to do to make knowledge findable?
