Information and Knowledge Management for Climate Change (IKM4CC) Guidelines

In a previous article in RealKM Magazine I discussed knowledge management considerations associated with climate change, a significant global issue. As put forward in the comments on that article, initiatives to address these knowledge management issues include The Climate Web.

Another initiative from Griffith University and the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) has produced a set of guidelines to assist government departments and other agencies and organisations that deal with issues related to climate change to implement good practices for managing information. The guidelines have been produced for the Pacific region, but the principles and practices in the guidelines would applicable beyond this area.

There are five guidelines and a strategic framework document:
